Indecon assessing industries in Kazakhstan

Indecon has been awarded the World Bank project “Rapid Assessment of Industries in Kazakhstan”, a private sector development project. The scope of the project is to identify competitive, non-extractive industries, i.e. sectors on regional level with the potential for substantial growth and employment, and to elaborate an informed recommendation of at least two high potential sub-industries in favourable regions.

In the frame of a joint initiative of the Government of Kazakhstan and the private sector the World Bank intends to further develop the competitiveness and employment potential of these recommended industries (pilot projects), deepen their integration with the global value chain and generally foster SME growth by providing technical assistance. Project implementation has started mid July 2014.
