Indecon-network won an assignment for investment acquisition (FDI – foreign direct investment) in July 2018 by the ACCESS ALSACE – AGENCE D’ATTRACTIVITE DE L’ALSACE. The objective of the project is the acquisition of German companies from the medical technology sector as well as other growth industries to establish sites in the French region of Elsass. The assignment includes in it the selection of companies in the target sectors. Contacting the companies will be achieved mainly through telphone marketing and acquisition on industry conventions.

Indecon delivered two workshops of two-days duration each for the National Agency for Project Management (NAPM) in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on (a) public procurement and (b) real estate permits and licensing on 2. and 3. May 2018. Lecturers were from indecon and the German Federal Ministry of Finance as well as related authorities. Objective of the workshops was to review the recently adopted Law on Public Procurement, the coordination deliverables allocated to NAPM, and to present the related German and European practical experience.

The topics covered on public procurement included among others the legal framework governing public procurement in Germany and in Europe, international standards and practices in transition economies, detailed procedures, compliance issues (white and black lists), as well as e-Procurement.

The real estate workshop addressed NAPM’s new coordination tasks in the field of licensing and issuing permits in planning and construction. Furthermore, the respective German and European experience on technical regulations, licensing and procedures on permit issuance in the real estate sector were presented and discussed.

The workshops were attended by high-ranking representatives of NAPM, various ministries, state and municipal authorities and large enterprises. At the end of the workshop the participants received a participation certificate.

On the 16th and 17th of January 2018 talks and presentations between the National Agency for Project Managemnet (NAPM) and the German Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) were held in Tashkent. The objective of these negotiations was the specification of consulting topics for a possible cooperation in the areas of decision making procedures about public investments, assessment of effectiveness of public investments, project management and public procurement in general. The German side, including an indecon senior consultant, delivered presentations and elaborated on the corresponding procedures in Germany.

A consortium led by indecon has been shortlisted to provide technical assistance to the Supreme Court for inproving the evaluation of judiciary activities by, inter alia, doing analysis and diagnostics on the current evaluation system and disciplinary processes, modernizing mechanisms for processing complaints, as well as developing and implementing an action plan.
