In the context of the ongoing cooperation between the German Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) and the National Agency for Project Management under the Republic of Uzbekistan (NAPM) related to the project management of public investments including public procurement – the project being implemented by indecon consulting – a delegation from the NAPM visited Berlin from 8th to the 16th of September 2018. The delegation comprised specialists in managing public investments, public procurement, IT infrastructure, and investment climate.
The objective of the study tour was to learn about the German experience and applied procedures in the project management of public investments, economic feasibility assessment, prioritization of infrastructure projects, PPP-projects, investment controlling and various aspects of related to the improvement of the investment climate.
Presentations followed by discussions were held among other by the German Federal Ministry of Finance, Deutsche Bahn AG, OAOEV (German Eastern Business Association), the Transport Infrastructure Financing Company (VIFG), the Controlling and Budgetary Committee for Restauration and Remediation of Former Lignite Mining Sites (GS StuBA), Partnerschaft Deutschland (PD), and of course indecon.
